Should the next pokemon game still have an Amie/Refresh game

I find petting and feeding tedious as fuck.

Loved the healing status effects though. If they do keep it i want them to expand the first aid bit.

If they want to push the tomagachi pet bullshit they could atleast put a fetchball in i could toss in town

I think Amie is designed for a different section of the target market to those who are likely to browse 4chan.

In theory I find it cool seeing how they behave. In practice there are usually more fun things to do.

I miss the minigames, not just because they were fun but also because it allowed you to feed and pet mons again more quickly, but I'd love to see them come back and have more kinds of interaction possible, overworld or not. That fetch thing you two mentioned sounds fun.

It's so ingrained that they can't not do it now. If their intention in S/M was to make it so it can't so easily be spammed, then they were fighting a fruitless battle because RPG fans will always circumvent that if they so desire. If it were me, I would've made it more time based, where you can only pet them every hour, or rather you get the best results after one hour. There could be alternatives, though. I missed being able to pet them after a battle, but given how much the refresh triggers, that was probably moot. I guess there really isn't much I would change as I just want to care for my pokemon, but the real criticism I have is beans. There aren't enough. True, it becomes trivial the instant you unlock Pelago, but before then, it's easy to run out of beans. I think it would've been better if you could just buy the beans, it would've been better than the super annoying hint system that is useless if you've played a pokemon game before anyway, and even if you haven't, they explained most of this junk already.
