It's a breddit poll with about 7000 voters and only about 500 of them actually voted for the starters. Pretty obvious that plebbit doesn't give any information of value, so we'll have to wait for official, hopefully global polls to see what popularity the starters really have.

Some times, I even think it's for the best for no one to find out the real truth, shit like this is why there are wars in the first place. Favoritism, arguing who deserves which spot, ehhh. Why can't people just like what they like without lashing on everyone's throat over liking something they don't.

Last poll had Simisear dead last and Greninja on top, it never even occurred to me he would be that infamous. I'd sooner think of something like... I dunno, the electric flounder fish over it. I don't have anything against it, but it seemed like something not that many people would like. Or something else people would have forgotten from the Johto generation or any generation, like Qwilfish.
