I was expecting a cute fairy plague doctor cause we were finally in PokeEurope, and prerelease stuff talked about Spritzee using scents to pull under Pokemon under its spell, which seemed like a more sinister fairy thing to do.

Or a flamingo with a perfume/spritz bottle motif because it looks like a little chick, and flies around, and we really never had a flamingo Pokemon before.

I'm pretty disappointed that Aromatisse went in neither direction. It's just ugly looking with a bunch of weird details like claws and a bow on its ass. It even lost the wings and flight that Spritzee had. Its design looks like a cobbled mess or a random assortment of traits because they couldn't think of what to do with it.

Not really sure where you're going with this. Mons changing in personality traits is nothing new. You cite Litten, but Incineroar is a total 180 from its personality and traits. Litten is a quiet introverted mon who prioritizes logic, while Incineroar is a loud, boisterous, passionate showman and bruiser.

I think Incineroar is pretty neat cause of its personality.

I prefer Crabrawler to Crabominable because it's just better designed, but he yeti crab is really cool too and I appreciate the lore of it climbing to the literal top and becoming an ice hermit.

Aromatisse is a fucking mess though. It's not even a bird anymore, and has random shit stuck to its design with no rhyme or reason.

Perfume had an enormous place in French society during the 17th century. Bad smells and bathing were associated with spreading disease and everyone kinda stank so they wore a lot of perfume and thought it had healing properties.
