And Jynx became available as a regular encounter in Japanese Blue, while Electabuzz and Magmar were both unavailable, and all three were unavailable in Yellow. Meanwhile Mr. Mime was available through trade in all 4 versions.

And a look at their level up movesets will show that Jynx's has several things in common to Electabuzz and Magmar's. For example, ever since Gen I they've each learned their respective elemental punch. Since Gen II their final level up move is their respective low accuracy 120 BP move, usually at around the same level. Mr. Mime learns its final move earlier than the other three. And as the generations went on they got closer in terms of how many moves they get and at what level. Electabuzz and Magmar are exactly the same, and while Jynx has more level 1 movesm learns many moves a level off, and the final couple moves are changed up, it's still a bit more similar to theirs than Mr. Mime's.
