>ending of PMD Red and Blue
Looking back, it's not as tearful as it once was. But it was the first PMD game, and playing it blind you didn't know to see it coming.
That first goodbye was heart wrenching.

Anything with PMD really. I was probably about 9 or 10 when I played Red Rescue Team, and holy shit.
Nintendo thrives at those heart wrenching goodbyes.
NGL I cried when I first finished Darkness and your character actually spoke before dying. It kinda ruined the fancy dinner party I was at, but fuck man, you don't play with a 10 year old's heart like that.

Lillie is a bad character and this moment was in no way emotional.

Why is that?

The fancy dinner party can get bent, you were doing something very important

Nothing in the main games desu. The movies however. I cried when Ash turned to stone. Even though I was young back then I think I'd still cry even now

Sky sort of ruined this by making it all OK with a literal Deus Ex.

These. PMD one was sadder, SM one was bitter sweet. Loved both for different reasons.

I mean, they had to earn it though. Everyone in the future dying was still better, but I can dig a happy ending.

Well it made me sadSad that she probably won't disappear forever like Zinnia

This, the sequels mostly recycled the same ending so it didn't have as much impact as the originals.

Gates and Super still handled it pretty well, at least.
