ITT: Pokemon that would be your go-to favorite if they weren't complete shit

I don't play new gens but in gen 3 I always have a Raticate as my lead. He's so useful for capturing legendaries and such. Super Fang, Endeavor and you can tutor it Thunder Wave and you get a very decent shiny hunter. Also Run Away is a good ability for a lead.

Choice scarf it with max speed evs and timid with weak armour and it outspeeds a lot after one turn
>>32431064
I have a lv100 magcargo from back when I played, I think heartgold, and I want so much for him to be good
>>32431055
43
>>32431055
It still is my favorite, but I never use it. Is that what this thread is? Honorable mention to my man sub 500 bst tropius
>>32431055
I wanted to like him, but fuck asslowla and it'd need to shit over itself.
Raticate with Hustle was ridiculously good on calcs, then they went ahead and made it bulky instead of abusing hustle at all.
>not liking a pokemon because it doesn't have the best stats/movepool

This is my biggest scorn. I never found Magcargo back in the orginal Silver cause as a kid I lost interest in the game near the end. Then I stopped playing until 4th gen mid highschool and I remembered how much I had loved Magcargo's design. I finally managed to get one only to later realize how absolutely trash it ended up being.
Typing aside, it had such a great movepool (which could be better if GF decided to make an actual decent special rock move for it).
I dont know why its stats are so garbage. You found it at the end of its respective game you would think that would account for some fucking awesome stats.
Ive always thought if it could get better with a mega evolution or an regular evolution, but I just love the design of Magcargo so much I dont know if they could recapture it again.
If only magma armor was actually some godly bullshit ability instead of useless freeze immunity.

Some Pokémon just make you hate them ingame.
Some don't evolve, some don't reward your efforts on training them(learning stab moves, use their ability) and drag the team down, others just don't pull their weight down and are always hit first by the opponent.

>wah I suck at a game aimed at 8-year-olds
>>32432106
not him but
...Really? Some Pokemon are just hard to train than others, man. It doesn't necessarily mean that the person training them is bad. What are you on about?
Tropius...

Bitch I used Delibird in my first Silver playthrough when I was 10. He was in my team against Red. If a 10 year old can raise a Dunsparce to use against fucking Red, you have no excuses for not being able to use whatever in-game.
>>32431055
i wish faticake was bigger
like 4 feet tall, same proportionally. Just an impossibly huge rat monster, with actually-good stats
>>32432125
delibird or dunsparce
somehow i think you're lying
>>32432125
well ok
doesn't mean you have to call other people out on that tho
>>32431991
i think you're just bad at the game anon.

>only got a boost of 20 BST in gen 7
why not going all out and go at AT LEAST 500 BST?
