I understand why Slaking has his ability but Regigigas and Archeops? We have Garchomp, Tapus, and other things running around and yet GF thinks these two need to be neutered.

The ability is for flavor reasons as well as the fact that it has great attacking stats, 110 base speed, which meant a lot more two gens ago, and very good STAB, one of which was acrobatics, which could be boosted by the broken flying gem.

It is still very usable today as a sashed suicide rock setter with its good speed and access to endeavor and head smash to potentially block defog/spin. Its design is awesome and its one of the few 3d models that is really good looking. Power creep has made it look tame by todays standards, but we'll probably be saying that about slaking within a few games
