Chandelure was banned from gen V UU during gen VI
Sand Veil and Snow Cloak were unbanned on Pokemon that didn't have another ability in gen IV pretty recently
Drought + Chlorophyll and Sand Stream + Sand Rush were banned in gen V OU in addition to the already-existing Drizzle + Swift Swim ban (thereby unbanning Excadrill!) sometime during gen VI

It's not dumb that M-Sableye was banned at the end of ORAS OU's lifecycle, it's important to keep old metas healthy for people who want to go back and play them and tours and shit.

What happened was a group of dudes (Thunberblunder, I don't know who else) went around and hounded people who voted for NO BAN to change their votes to BAN. You can thank those guys for the initial Aegislash ban, since the vote was just barely what was needed to get it banned.

That was immediately shut down, as they made it so you aren't able to change your vote once it's in.
