The games are set in Hoenn, and despite several nerfs it's still the region with the best level design and map layouts.

Beat these games 7 times. Enjoyed the hell out of it

It's base on the best region so it's already a step up from the previous remakes. I liked the Megas, but I wish Primal evo counted as Mega because the game became retarded with them.

99% of all the criticism that ORAS recieves are insignificant nitpicks.

But you have the Battle Maison, so it's at least replaced.

My only nitpicks:
1. I wish soaring didn't make you have to sit through that mega transformation for Lati@s every single time.
2. I wish Brendan and May kept their original designs.
3. Having the Wally rematches locked behind the maison was a terrible idea.

• Major renovation of old issues with the original games (something HGSS failed to do)
• Excellent new and improved features based off of features from the originals
• Incredible ease of use of online features, breeding and training
• Most importantly, NEW POKEMON. Tons of entirely new forms to use and build around to an extent none of the other remakes have even tried.

By far the most successful remakes in the franchise and probably the best games overall so far. Here's hoping the next entries in gen 7 can unseat them!

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion on /vp/ (and even then the people that hate it here could just be a handful of shitposters) but I wouldn't be surprised if out of the 13 million or so people that bought ORAS, more than half of them enjoyed the Delta Episode.
