Should I get a 3DS+OR and hunt on two systems or should I just spend my money on another game (I was thinking about Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World +Poochy amiibo set)

Just got a shiny mimikyu when I was breeding. Good IVs too. The only problem now is that the ball does not match.

I fucked up, badly. The Ttar is set in stone the moment you first encounter it, meaning i have to do the leadup to Ttar without the fastest team i could manage, two Kyogre spamming water spout. If I want to reset for it, i have to do it without traded pokemon.

But, there's fucking nothing for options before you can trade. Every possibility i can think of for ending all the fights as fast as possible gets cockblocked by some obscure thing. Every possibility i can think of can't reliably 1shot everything, even though some of them would be 50+ levels lower. I'll be going from having 7 turn runs to 14 turn runs.

I'm at a loss, i have to spend the weekend playing the game through again and grinding to level 100, and nothing i have access to can 1shot everything. Even my Kyogres couldn't reliably 1shot Slowking

The trade machine is after almost every Pokemon, you just have shit luck by choosing one of the few that is not only difficult to catch, but also prefaced by a very hard battle.

It's not that the fights are hard, I can just powerlevel beforehand. It's that i'm going from a 7 turn run, to a 9 turn run on average. At my absolute fastest with double Kyogres, it took 14:35 to do a single reset. Now i'm looking at maybe 17-18 minutes per reset.

But, it's the only final boss in the entire series where you can steal their ace AND have it be shiny. I'm going to have to reset the game entirely and get an optimal nature/iv Raikou. Metagross will be good enough to not need it. I need to hope for a couple things, that Nascour doesn't have Dusclops out when my Forretress explodes, and that he doesn't have Xatu out when I Earthquake. As for Evice, I have to hope he doesn't lead with Salamence.

Debating whether or not I should really go for Evice's Tyranitar, or take the vastly easier option of Gonzap's Skarmory. It'd be far quicker to reset for, and it's still a pokemon from a crime boss. But it wouldn't be nearly as cool as stealing the final boss's pokemon

The most recent fail was when I was fishing for items in Seafolk Village(mainly Bottle Caps). I was watching and listening to random online videos, mainly a news video about a song a group posted online claiming it to be a unreleased Nirvana Song they hacked from Courtney Love's computer(this happened less than two years ago. The song was obviously not Nirvana's either). I realized I had fished up a shiny Wailmer just as I tapped the run button during that video.

If you fail to snag it, its data and shininess shouldn't be set until you catch it, so you can encounter it again and its data should change.
I believe there's a video by a YouTuber named Togami that explains stuff about shiny hunting in Colo/GoD.

I noticed something was up with Tyranitar after seeing it had 182 HP after catching it a few times in a row, so i noted the stats, and set my clock a day ahead, trying again. The stats were the exact same three times in a row.

Simply put, once you encounter it, the stats and personality values are saved in the shadow pokemon memo or some shit, so that it wont change genders or something. I have no idea why they coded it like this, but either way i'm up shit creek without a paddle. So I'm gonna go for Tyranitar, if i'm resetting in Colo, i'm going for the gold. Briefly thought of Skarmory, but decided that wasn't as rare

I left a comment on one of his videos and got some confirmation of what i had suspected. If there was a cheat to unlock the trade machine early, i'd use it.

Catch a shadow pokemon, it has a 1/8192 chance to turn shiny as it enters your party. I'm doing this so I can say "I own Evice's Tyranitar AND it's shiny." It is the only final boss in the entire series with a pokemon that can be shiny, and you can even steal it. It might take me until the end of the decade, but I'm going to fuckin do this.

read up on Mt battle berries, find out what contest condition increases they give, Get 2 of those berries(preferably two that don't raise the same conditions) and clone those berries using emerald. Use one of the berry masters wife rare berries(read up on this too if they're available), preferably one that raises the last condition condition that the Mt battle berries don't raise and clone that as well.

As for the contest just spam rain dance+surf combo till final round then use hyper beam. or just spam hyper beam till you eventually have all 20 contest ribbons.

I didn't fail to get them, but they were lost when my battery died before I could transfer them over.
Then I found a shiny Fearow in Pearl that I killed because back then I was like 12 and didn't know why False Swipe was good.
Also I've killed a shiny Oddish in X because I didn't have my swiper for God knows why.

I currently have a Jolly synch Abra for Type: Null (my first shiny Type: Null is Naive) and breeding Adamant on my Rowlets. As far as DexNav, Friend Safari, Repel Tricking, etc., I don't care for the natures.

I generally stop hunting a specific one after a few hours and either find another to chain or hunt something else a bit. I spent hours on a Pikipek, swapped to Eevee and got one in about a 40 chain.
