Probably Infernape because my autism demands that I have a Fire type on all of my teams, and if they pull and ORAS and only remake Diamond and Pearl, there'll be literally 1 other Fire line in the entire fucking region.

The issue with Sinnoh is it's shitty Pokemon distribution which wasn't even fixed in Platinum. Throwing a Ralts on a early route doesn't change the fact that most everyone's team will be some variation of Starter/Luxray/Staraptor/HM Slave because you're constantly pelted with shitmons like Wurmple and Bidoof well past the first gym.

They probably will, see how we lost trainer customization in ORAS because GF described it as "something that only felt at home in Kalos". They'll remove Ride Pokemon and justify it with something like "Sinnoh's constant required use of HMs helped fuel the feeling of adventure" or some shit.

Tasteless plebs aside, these are the best group of starters since the original trio. They work collectively so well, they have nice busy designs, they even have a little inverse weakness thing going on. They're great.

Empoleon is by far my favorite, but I do like Torterra for a challenge and maybe I'll do a run with Infernape just for fun because Close Combat fit it like a glove back then, and it's nice to relive memories.

Ran Infernape for my Diamond nuzlocke, and I can't stand Piplup's line, so Turtwig for me. I lost my Torterra in my Platinum nuzlocke to Cynthia (entire team wiped to her), so I owe it to him to try and have Torterra survive to the end.

No. Empoleon was my favorite as well, but that's because Torterra wasn't interesting to me and Infernape was a clone of Blaziken. Gen 6 had better starters than Gen 4.

That said, I feel exactly the same way about the whole Sinnoh dex. I really don't want remakes of that gen yet. I only like a handful of Pokemon from it and I still vividly remember using them.
