Sceptile is close to the best figure in the game, I would always have it on your team

Break energy is Rayquaza's attack, and it removes your opp's plate affects for the whole duel, so its a good counter to Deoxys

If you're at a lower rank and deoxys isnt relevant just replace him with Lugia or something

Geninja is better as a stand alone for his 3MP, massive gold attack, same with mew. 2 3 MP Pokemon are a benchmark for most decks

This is the third deoxys i got from gym boxes, got speed and defense in fire gym, had another atack crafted, and with 3000 mats i just used to craft another speed and the normal one from the fight gym. I just got a 6 deoxys team without using money. Feels good.

Other then the forth pack giving me my 3rd penguin I like all the packs and am overall happy. It gave me some stuff that I use in the current gym too.

How should i Go about leveling starting out? Should i Wait until i get good ones from boosters or will i have to level up lesser ones to progress?

you can level EX's to 3 pretty easily, but anything higher than that is probably a waste unless its C+ tier

rares are okay to get to 4, you'll get a lot of fodder as you play so once youve got a team you like start hoarding rare exp cubes for when you open something better

You can go either way; I'd recommend waiting and only fusing for missions or when your figure case gets full.

Ideally, though, you would've reset your account until you pulled a good EX from a starting booster/quad/sex, and levelled that up instead.

These are all my ex figures, I have 4000 materal now. What should I craft? I really want a sceptile but I'd like to get a second opinion before I use all my material.

After playing the team more it sucks. I'm having trouble staying above 1500. Sceptile can get up to 150 attack pretty easy, if I see one I have to use an X Attack and pray he doesn't land on his blue. Mew is also unstoppable, sometimes I can get lucky a surround one if the player is dumb.

At these ranks I also run into a lot of people that use two of the 3 speed ghost, they can rush in fast enough to beat me. If I go first I have to put a Tenta on the spawning point, it then takes 2 more moves to get to my own goal point. So you have to run goal block otherwise someone just having one ghost will make you waste to much time. Even if I use a second Tenta to get on the goal point the ghost then takes that spawn point, leaving my own tent standing on my other one, so I have to move him up to get my other guys out. Wasting so much time.

I tried adding in a Manaphy but it was more of the same. Somehting like a Greninja might help but at that point you would as well just run a different team. I don't have Greninja sadly but I'll try to add in something else with a higher speed to help for when I do get first move. Either a ghost or Umbreon. Good thing I already have the reward pokemon from this so all I'm aiming for is 30 wins otherwise I would have dropped this team a long time ago. It's fun though.

So I've been using metagross, manaphy, and 3xkarp/gyara and realized the Gyarados could also work with the Tropical Energy Plate. I'd have to go buy the plate and Metagross is pretty good in general but I'm considering my options.

Metagross isn't that good a figure. You only use it for the ability. 90 majority means it loses or ties to a lot of the meta figures right now (Deoxys, Reuniclus, Verizion, Sceptile, Zapdos, all three birds, even Ho-oh) and the 30 is a liability.

You can drop Manaphy altogether and run all those birds with Gyarados.

New figures aren't overpowered, though. If we look at top players, streams, and 3000+ featured duels, we see a diversity of teams. Deoxys/Reuniclus, Grass, Tropical, Poison, Dark, Goodstuff, and Vibrava are all meta decks. If what you're trying to say is true, then we'd see Grass almost exclusively, but we really don't.

Pokemon Duels is a shit game for an assload of reason, but I've never seen someone fuck up an analysis so hard before. Literally every sentence in your post is just wrong.

I actually find chestnaught quite easy to deal with compared to other 3 MP Grass types in its Gym. Its 90 BP Hammer Arm just doesn't cut it anymore.

It's not even the hammer arm that gives me the most problems. It's the fact that every single time it's on the field and challenging one of my Pokemon it spins purple into their white or miss. Any time I get lucky enough to spin gold it's met with hammer arm. 90 power gives me trouble anyway since none of my shit has that besides Latios and he never spins it, but my whole team consistently spins exactly what they need to for me to lose every encounter with Chesnaught. I've had better luck against more blatantly threatening things like Zapdos and Heatran and even Virizion than I have against this fucking porcupine. As far as I can remember, I have not won a single game in this gym or league where my opponent has a Chesnaught because they push my shit in all the way across the field two spaces at a time.

I think for the next gym I'll start burning all my energy forfeitting before I go to work. Come back 9 hours later with full energy to fight bugbot and then I get at least one win a day and the energy is only 99% wasted instead of 100% wasted.

I don't play any more so I'm probably not going to update for future patches, but heres the database I made for searching these types of things

If you have matlab you can use 'databaseSearcher.m' to get a list of things with certain attributes (you'd search for '4miss' under 'attackTypes' to get a list of figures with no miss at level 5 for example)
otherwise you can just look at 'simpleDatabaseNew.m' and ctrl+f to find them one by one manually

crobat is a weird one, without the gym buff, to even put up a fight it needs the full two evos, or that the entire enemy team is poisoned already, the way it can reduce 40 off of anything when it gets killed (noxious or poison+ the effect) is good, if you have another crobat out to keep the effect going

i was running two with 3 tentacool and a clvl1 drapion and the whole bunch was not easy to kill, except when the jellys spun miss and gave no poison effect to work with, it was fucking discouraging, since i wanted to activate it
