>Registration for the next Battle Competition has begun. This is the 2017 International Challenge April competition. This is a Double Battle competition using VGC 2017 rules requiring the Alola Pokédex only. Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Magearna, Necrozma and Zygarde are not allowed. Mega Stones are also not allowed. Registration will be open from April 19th at 00:00 UTC to April 27th 23:59 UTC and battles will run from April 28th to April 30th. All entrants will get the Sceptilite, Blazikenite and Swampertite Mega Stones. Players that are part of the Play! Pokémon program will also earn Championship Points if they rank high enough

Actually I checked in battle spot and, it does, as long as the terrain at least ACTIVATES even if it's negated immediately activated the seed WILL BE CONSUMED.

Yeah? VGC is by far TPCI's most supported metagame. They have a roughly 50:50 split between VGC tournaments and gimmick tournaments.
