HGSS is part of the golden age of pokemon, but this is the superior game

EoS plays like garbage, though. No challenge whatsoever and the game gives you free stat boosters and overpowered items to steamroll the game. You just press A and win every battle. The same goes for the other games, but a bit less for Super since the enemies aren't underpowered garbage and the bosses can't be cheesed with two items.

Game has top tier music and story/characters. Sadly so many obvious flaws held it back. Replayed Rescue, and I was surprised how fast I can clear a 20+ dungeon

Each sequel was easier than the previous one, though that's not bad.

In the first game you had to do all loops in one go (FUCK SALAMENCE), the next games added something of a HP bar and the last one made Assists reusable as long as the Pokemon doesn't "kill" them.
