I used a Kingdra in a playthrough of Soul Silver once. Spent two hours using thief on Horsea in the whirl islands in attempts to find a dragon scale. In the end it wasn't even that worth it because Kingdra's BST is pretty underwhelming.

Only Legendaries. I haven't used legendaries since Gen 2. I feel it takes the challenge out of the game.

That being said, I'd really like to use Guzzlord. He resembles a Lovecraftian creature, specifically Yog-Sothoth

Miltank, Tauros, Drapion, Weavile, Electivire, Porygon, Magmortar. There's a lot more I want to use but the item trade-evos are always a pain in the ass to get. I really wish Gamefreak would just make them easy to obtain instead of locking them out like that.

Avalugg is so hard to use. It tends to be either really useful, soaking up hits and dealing decent damage, or completely dead weight against any special attacker with no inbetween whatsoever. Relying on either Avalanche or Ice Fang for STAB isn't that good either.

Try playing the Pokemon Prism ROM hack. It offers early Ice types like Sage is going for. Pretty handy in game 2bh

It sure is a good thing Guzzlord is extremely bad. You could use it in a normal playthough and you'd probably be gimping yourself.

It's a shame it's literally the last thing you do in the game and that there aren't any postgame trainers/areas except for one meager path, though.
