To be honest, I am not a fan of quick and cheap mind control. It feels like an ass-pull like Dark Matter. Plus, you only have so many justifications as to why you aren't affected.
I would've made the effects of the spores not be immediate and instead go from drowsiness, then delirium, then finally to shambling zombie. If you burn them at any stage, they only take half-damage and are cured, but will not be able to fight immediately because they're regaining their senses.
Also, Paras fungus would probably be both weaker and slower acting on non-insects or non-arthropods, since they're different phylum and egg groups.

What Ron is doing is overriding the mushroom zombie effects by turning them into Thriller zombies instead. If anything it should’ve been easier since they’re already zombified, so all Ron has to do is compel them with Thriller.

Not my roll because I actually rolled and desperately rerolled, while on computer lag, for “Ring of Fire”, which would’ve been an objectively better option, but just saying.

Yeah, it stinks spending the whole thread trying to do a flame charge and never pulling it off. I have a suggestion for the get problem. Gets still exist, but now are counted as a bonus roll. That is, if you call for a 2, the person who got a 2 gets their action. If a get occurs, that post also occurs (as long as it does not directly contradict the actual number). Get overrules still occur, so only one bonus action can occur. So, if I rolled a 2, the flame charge occurs. If someone gets dubs and says shout a cheesey one liner, it also occurs. If they say run away, those dubs are ignored.

I thought the same thing. If this were the case and you don't like a winning post, you could roll "secure" to cancel it out. There would be a lot of screenshots to try to prove the winning poster and the person who rolled "secure" weren't the same. This need of proof would delay the game.

Of course, you could still reroll for an already-winning post without typing "secure" to try to go unnoticed, but what you're doing is the same thing. You could just as easily roll "re" or some other input. But you're still stealing an opportunity for a different post to win.

Honestly, is the game fun if it's not luck based? I feel great when I have a winning get and see 5 minutes pass by. What's the fun of knowing with, I don't know, 90% certainty that you'll win by refreshing? Different posters winning is what keeps the threads interesting. If it's only one person winning it's no fun for anyone.

What's the point of continuing to roll if this is the way things are run? This is why overrides were set up. OP wanted people to keep playing within the time limit.

Well, the way things are currently, someone gets the post and then people continue to roll in hopes of overriding. This system would still result in people trying to roll, just instead for the additional actions (and people could still overrule the prior additional action). I admit it's not perfect but with the way the last thread went it could certainly help speed things up, while still letting fun posts happen.

Also, wasn't trying to samefag, I was just bringing it up again cause I thought it could work. That's why I said "I still think" in the post. I just didn't feel like retyping it.
