Yes. The only way it will brick is if you fuck it up and don't follow the instructions during a single part.
Aside from that the process is completely safe and you should just do it if you're thinking about it. Just sit down with it for an hour or two if you're slow and go with it.

It isn't 2014 anymore, the chances of bricking are so low that you're more likely to get hit by a thunder in the middle of a clear day. Everything is so simple and safe nowadays.

Newbie at this here. So I have an EU 3ds and just moved to the US. Got gifted a US Sun but can't play it. I literally only want to make my 3ds region free. Do I follow the soundhax guide and do all of that and I'm done? Also are there any negative repercussions by doing this that I should watch out for such as the obvious like not doing system updates? Thanks
