How would you improve the grass-type?.
>>32334221
remove ice weakness lol
>>32334221
Make it immune to Fairy.
>>32334221
>thinking grass is bad
Nature Burst
110 power
85 accuracy
10 PP
this move may lower opponent's special attack (10%)
Just to give them their own fire blast/hydro pump equivalent move
>implying grass is bad
>>32334221
Give Carnivine and the Bellsprout line an ability that reverses Bug/Grass effectiveness. It won't help Grass types but it'll help my autism.
>>32334221
More thorns and spores
>>32334230
>>32334257
It's even worse than Ice.
>>32334257

Grass sucks dick lol

>the one good grass type pokemon
bitch I'll RNG you to death
>>32334272
hi
Grass is fine, Water, Ground, and Electric resistances are all very good
It has five weaknesses, but Bug and Poison are shit, so that just leaves Fire, Flying, and Ice
>>32334272
sure thing buddy
>>32334283
>uses steel as a crutch
>its grass typing is what makes it good
Make a move that is super effective against fire, ice, flying, poison, or bug and can be learned by many grass types. A lot of fire types get grass type moves to counter their weaknesses and nearly every water type gets ice beam, so do the same for grass. Rock is good against 4/5 of grass weaknesses, so that could be an option.

Something involving moss maybe?
>>32334329
What's your point
Grass is one of the better types though. Resisting the two best all around types in the game as well as electric is great.
>>32334350
You don't know how to use Effect Spore, do you?
The reason grass is seen as a shitty type is because omst grass types, especially offensive ones, have a shitty movepool with little to no usable coverage. It's sort of the opposite of the dragon type pre-fairies in that it was a rather mediocre type that seemed amazing because it had so many powerful mons with wide movepools.
>>32334320
>needs Brave Bird and Gen 6 Gale Wings-tier ability/move synergy to be usable
>its the grass typing that makes it good

>>32334422
>fairy/grass legendary
>definitely not the fairy or legendary parts that make it good
Grass should have been resistant to Fairy instead of Fire, it makes more sense imo.
>>32334488
He would be better without fairy type. He doesn't even get fairy STAB and it would reduce his 4x poison weakness.
Legendary literally means nothing except stats. You could reduce 30 SpA to give him a non-legendary 540 BST, and he wouldn't change a bit.
>>32334501
>one grass mon that doesn't rely on solely on something else to make it usable

You just proved my point you massive retard. Judging anything in Pokemon in a vacuum is fucking stupid. Every mon is a combination of type, stats, ability, moveset, niche etc. You might as well say fire and ground type are shit because Camerupt sucks.
>>32334647
>implying all pokemon only have a single niche
>>32334221
Make it so that every type and it's mother doesn't resist it.
>>32334668
Camerupt is the fire/ground representation of grass as a whole.

Anon, only 3 fire type lines get a good grass type move.

Oh, you actually are a retard. My condolences.

Unfortunately for you, and thanks to you, grass type will never improve. Enjoy eating your own shit, grass cuck.
>>32334821
Yeah, buffing things for absolutely no reason is much better.
>Grass moves are super effective against Electric type.
>Grass takes neutral damage from Flying moves.
>Grass resists Fairy moves.
>>32334821
whut
>>32334580
There are grass types in this thread that legit justify grass, but that anon is right, there's a difference between being good BECAUSE of a type and being good IN SPITE of a type.
Gen far was ou for 7 gens IN SPITE of being a poison type, it isn't good because of being a poison type (with all the fairies that's not as true any more) but gengar was never proof that poison was a good type.
If gamefreak invented an ice type with base 800 stats and an ability that auto set icy terrain that doubled the defenses of ice types and gave that Pokémon an incredible movepool, that wouldn't make ice a good defensive type
>>32334882
Who said ice needs to be a good defensive type? Every type has strengths that a good mon will be built around. Does anyone complain about Fighting being a terrible defensive type? Defensive ice may even be a viable concept if something was built around Aurora Veil.
Again, types don't exist in a vacuum. A type may have few resists or super effectives, but the ones it has may be very common or threatening. It may have more weaknesses, but also usually has access to moves like recovery and status. None of this shit is self-contained and should not be looked at that way.
Resist or be immune to fairy
Be super effective against steel
Maybe resist rock (sorry rock types) too?
>>32334956
>Who said ice needs to be a good defensive type?
GF apparently. GF keeps making defensive mons for ice despite Ice being the weakest defensive type by far.
