The meta in this game is so bad, there's only a few Pokemon you need to avoid wasting like Rhyhorn, Eevee, Chansey, Dratini and Larvitar

I collected Zubat, Oddish, Poliwag, Slowpoke and Horsea candy in anticipation for Gen II just to find out I'd either get cucked by low CP, evo items or both. I also enjoy collecting Machop, Geodude, Abra, Ghastly and Bellsprout candies, even though I never end up getting a good final evo for any of them.

The only ones worth evolving are Oddish and Horsea since Bellossom is a sweet prestiger with the right moves, as is Kingdra.

Just used about 600 Horsea, Slowpoke, Poliwag and Oddish candy in a mass lucky egg evolving session since I realized my 1000+ candy collection was pretty useless seeing the droprate of evo items is shocking

Mystic and Instinct are the most active here, but Valor have the most gyms.
While Instinct and Mystic fight each other for ground, Valor randomly has 50% of the gyms in suburb areas that no one bothers to take down, but they're absolutely no where to be seen in the city center with low activity

Vacation periods are the best since everyone here only put in low CP pokemon so anyone can have a shot at taking the gym for themselves and getting free coins on a daily basis, even for low leveled players.

Just a minute ago I hatched a Porygon from a 10k egg.

I used to be a walkfag, but I live in a relatively small village, so it wasn't very fun.
A month ago I started occasionally spoofing to the nearest big city (which is about 100km away from here) and I just "walk around" catching some bros that show up.
I admit it's an inneficient way of playing, but staying in my village wasn't an option.
