Smogon isn't even hiding it anymore. Now that the roach has been exterminated, they're going after the frog, while the rat known as Lele roams free. Not only that, but the cancer known as stall just grows stronger with each ban to offense. The stall agenda is real folks! I remember when Smogon was actually fair and balanced (Gen IV). It's unfortunate to see the state Smogon is in. Overrun by little kiddies who ban anything that counters their precious stall. Sad!

It should be noted that since Battle Bond Greninja can only have that ability (unlike its Torrent/Protean version), and that it cannot breed, it's considered to be its own version of that species (much like the different Rotom formes and whatnot) and thus will remain in OU if Protean Greninja gets the boot.
Granted, not to say that it could get banned to, but since part of the reason why Greninja is so good right now is that it's difficult to know which version it is when facing it (a Protean Greninja you can sack mons to or a Battle Bond Greninja you cannot give easy wins to), so if the regular version gets banned, odds are that Battle Bond will become much more manageable.
