What habitats of starter pokemon in their native regions are most feasible if (or when) they were found in the wild?
i.e., would Bulbasaur have thrived in Viridian? did Totodile originate from the freshwater pools of mt mortar or the saltwater near Olivine?

Treecko on Petalburg Woods seem so recklessly thought of. Sceptile is depicted to be unmatched in the jungle and I think the rougher wilderness of northeastern Hoenn mainland (119+120) with its heavy undergrowth makes much more sense
