Masuda will likely get a samurai sword fashioned after a Torchic or Victini or something and begin slaying people left and right at Nintendo HQ. He'll have all of them lined up and force them to make a choice. Create a true successor to the 3DS for Pokemon or commit sudoku.
Or maybe he'll actually not decide to be a cunt and let the Switch have a battle sim or two to make up for the lack of challenge and post game in the main series, though for that to come to pass we'd have to sacrifice a small continent's worth of children

No. The console games bring variety and HD graphics. I loved being able to play as a buff guy in Battle Revolution. And mini-games and different battle modes/bosses are fun.

I doubt a main series game will go on switch, if it does Id be fine still.

I wouldnt mind another Stadium/Revolution though or a Colisseum successor. Pokken had a nice nod to that series but thatll probably be the only main pokemon thing on consoles for awhile.
