Can Anyone Identify This Clock?

It looks like a Pidgey clock.

I think it's before that. The date on the back says 1996, but the episodes didn't come out until 1997. It's super puzzling. I know it came directly from Japan, but not much else.

You can get a good idea of the date by the Pokemon on it. Togepi's there, but other Pokemon from gen 2 aren't. It almost certainly came out in either '98 or '99 when Pokemon was at the peak of its popularity in Japan. There was all sorts of weird-ass merchandise from that era.

That's a Japanese Pokemon Center exclusive clock from the late 90s made by Seiko. They go for 300-500 dollars in good condition.

In-story, it's from Pokemon Emergency. It goes off when Ash is waiting for Pikachu in the Pokemon Center.
Except in that episode the Pidgey is green for some reason.
