They would have better if they started out with crazy boss-like stats and boosts, and you had to defeat them before you could capture them, at which point they would have their natural stats.

Like literally any boss demon you can create from SMT

They didn't even do this. Beast Ball just gets a 5x catch rate multiplier against Ultra Beasts to make it look more effective. You have a 33% chance to catch Pherosoma with a regular Pokeball if thrown on the first turn, as with regular early-route mons.

I meant reduced to that of a normal pokeball. For example, a first turn quick ball on Kartana will have the same chance of catching it as a pokeball.


Also, the high catch rate is (logically) because there are so fucking many of them to catch. Imagine if you had to catch 4 pheromosa at the catch rate of the other UBs, like 2% for Guzzlord or 3% for Celesteela/Buzzwole, which are definitely legendary catch rates.

they're extremely common bug shitmons in their own dimension, it would make sense their catch rate is so high. Same with why Nihilego's is so high, it's basically Zubat with how many of them there were in just that one cave

They're easier to capture because they're out of their element. They're stuck in places they hate, and you're essentially freeing them from these conditions by capturing them.
