I'm ok with Garchomp being the standard conpetitive pokemon. It's good offensively but relatively frail so it's not OP. The design is also decent so it doesn't hurt to look at.

It's hardly relatively frail when it's one of the most common defensive mons out there. Still not the best Pokemon, as many casuals like to believe. Easily the most casual-overrated Pokemon, behind Landorus of course.

It's still good but it's very far from being the meta defining Pokémon it once was. Most of the time I would use Landorus-T or Zygarde over it these days, unless I needed a scarfer.

Chomp has better defenses(108/95/85) than fucking Swampert(100/90/90) of all things. Let that sink in. Its impossible to OHKO it unboosted unless its an Ice Beam from a dedicated special attacker or weather/terrain boosted STAB attacks(which OHKO nearly everything that doesn't resist anyway)

Gets wrecked by Mega Mences Draco Meteor as well. Also, forget Chomps defense when every team carries 1 or more ice/fairy moves just for it and makes the bulk look like garbage.

Mega Mence is Ubers though. Comparing the two is like comparing Hippowdon and Tyranitar. I think OP is just referring to how it has stay good all round in spite of all the nerfs such as fairies and megas. I'm not a fan of giving megas to peusdos but If they're going to give one, they should at least make it good.
