Gen 5 had TONSof Hoenn foreshadowing and yet the remakes didnt happen untill gen 6 and new console

Thats wh dont expect any remakes in this gen (be it Sinnoh or Kanto)

If gen 7 will get any more game at all it will be either Alola 2, Kalos 2 or Alola+Kalos

It really didn't no.

ORAS would have been much better on the DS as opposed to the 3ds. Maybe not in terms of graphics, but we would have definitely gotten the Frontier and more general content out of the game. (i.e more trick house puzzles)

Sadly this. I deeply regret RSEmakes not being part of the DS era, even though I realise GameFreak would be hard pressed to release them while 3ds was already in full swing.

No, the Battle Frontier wouldn´t have been in ORAS even if they were made in Gen V. Because Gen V is the first generation to not feature the Battle Frontier, anyway.

Maybe we would have gotten the PWT instead of the Emerald BF. But that´s a maybe. And only if ORAS had been made AFTER BW2, which is unlikely. It is more likely ORAS would´ve been made between BW1 and BW2, meaning no BF and no PWT either.

Also, if ORAS was Gen V, it wouldn´t have had DexNav (no sneaking), Soaring, Pokemon Amie and Super Training.

So probably, it would´ve had LESS content than it currently does. And to be frank, ORAS already has a lot of content as it is.
