It actually functions reasonably well in VGC (and has top 30 usage in some competitions) but is usually the inferior choice to Araquanid.

Actually, Decidueye's thread was closed just like Golisopod's and you are not allowed to talk about it either in OU. Primarina is the only one still having it open, and the one with the most recent posts.

it isn't super bad, by any means it's a mediocre at best priority-reliant pokemon with decent bulk. The only reason it was blacklisted, as others pointed out, is that people keep trying to force discussion when it really doesn't have a niche in OU. I expect it to stay in RU, but it depends on the meta too. Remember the trash shitmon that was heliolisk was a staple of UU last gen due to its anti-meta nature.
