4Kids delivered in general with their Pokemon dub, really, TAJ/DuArt/TPCi are the ones who destroyed the English dub's reputation and made it complete shit (TAJ went out of business in 2008, by the way, DuArt managing to carry the torch with TPCi in making the Pokemon dub even shittier than ever in XY-SM).

So at least we can say 4Kids did something relatively good for once with the Pokemon dub they did, despite being out of existence save for Yu-Gi-Oh now.

one thing i really like about this one is that dawn's japanese name is "hikari" meaning light and she appears when that word is sung in the intro. unfortunately this is lost after the tournament arc she was a part of when they replaced her with cameroen who not only has no pun associated with the intro but is generally a shit character

Most of the openings were progressive, it's just that the dub often used a later version that spoils everything. There were some JP openings that were super spoilery, though.
