You'll need custom firmware on your 3DS, a fairly decent sized SD Card, and then look up a guide to texture editing on ORAS with Ohana3DS software. There's unfortunately a lot more to it than just finding dumps of the models/textures and heading into photoshop. I do plan to make a full hack of Sun / Moon doing this.

0.bin is the model, 1.bin and 2.bin are the normal and shiny textures, the rest are animations. Use the BCH texture replacer to make your changes.

If you actually want to use them ingame, that's a bit more complicated, and I don't feel like explaining how.

Step your game up, OP. Here's the Serrian-Bellsprout line from my hypothetical game that will never be made.

As a result of living in the noxious swamps of Northern Serri, Bellsprout's scent became ineffective at luring prey. It then adapted bio-luminescence and a hypnotic pattern as a replacement.

Serrian-Bellsprout -> Serrian-Weepinbell -> Serrian-Victreebel

Lame. Keep them the colours they are but give them an Aura corresponding to typing.

Electric/Psychic Uxie: represents the mind/knowledge/electrical brain signals/Divine wonder

Water/Psychic Mesprit: represents the soul/emotion/reflection/dept/resonance

Fire/Psychic Azelf: represent the body/willpower/the animating flame/energy/courage


They should have been this from the start, Electric, Water and Fire perfectly sum up their associations.
