Garde question of the week: Can a Gardevoir not like its trainer and still keep up the 'spirit' of the Gardevoir?

Depends on the angle.

If it craves the empathic bond it shares with its trainer, then there's some sort of mental complex at work in both the trainer and the Gardevoir. This could also apply to a jaded/bored Yanderevoir that's addicted to the particular 'feels' of its supposed master.

If the Gardevoir is more attached to a concept (duty, trainer's former image, battle, etc.) then there will need to be some source of reciprocation that isn't from the trainer (ex: Gard's subconscious, local community, broader society). This would gradually make the Gardevoir more individualistic and more of an attention-seeker, eventually breaking away on its own.

It's probably a matter of duty, like how a soldier may dislike his officer personally but would still be professionaly bound to follow their lawful orders. The Gardevoir sees it as a point of honor to protect a weaker trainer even if it's not personally fond of them. That being said it may be psychologically unhealthy for the Gardevoir in the long term if it can't bond well with its trainer.

Don't worry about missing sessions occasionally, it doesn't cause any issues.
Make sure you're actually 95%-100% focused during the early sessions particularly, later on you can be a little more lax if you can "feel" your tulpa existing.
Don't try to imprint the traits you want for your tulpa too heavily, they will deviate anyway.
Make sure people don't overhear you if you talk outloud to your tulpa, they will think you're going totally nuts.

Every night I hear Gardevoir talking to me, and she's unnecessarily cruel towards me. I knew I had issues but now I'm turning out to be a full blown schizophrenic.

Gardy reminds me constantly about how I should just end my life already and how I'm unwanted and worthless.
