It's not disrespecting anything you fucktards. It's not a remake, it's not a retelling, it's a re-imagining for a new audience.

I grew up with OS and I honestly don't care if Misty and Brock aren't in this, if it was a 1:1 remake to the original few episodes, sure, then I'd care. But it's not, it's just using that as a template to do what it wants.

Fuck, we probably won't even get to Brock's gym by the looks of it.

And to be entirely honest, there was never a chance of Misty returning anyway. New kids don't know her and the fans in Japan that do hate her, she's one of the most unpopular Pokemon characters of all time and Brock was just way too overstated after keeping him around until B/W.

The movie will be shit either way on virtue of being anime, but this is the dumbest fucking thing to complain about I swear.
