How come Zygarde's wings have all this lore about them being individuals and being able to move and think independently, when none of that is ever used of shown in the games?

I mean, Diancie is semi involved in the XY story. The Ultimate Weapon is literally made of pure gemstone, and Diancie can both make gemstones out of thin air as well as Mega Evolve. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Do you think all the connections that are just begging to be confirmed throughout the Pokemon series are designed that way with full intent and then left unconfirmed on purpose to "promote speculation about the mysterious world of Pokemon" or is Game Freak just really dense?

I want to believe in the former because even with all the fair criticism they deserve they're still extremely competent people who put out AAA games on a regular basis, but there are sometimes cases of creators hearing fan theories that have been long accepted by the community as "basically canon" that leave them surprised or confused.

It's interesting that they connected mythicals with the story
