Actually, I still do not believe the whole abuse thing is resolved. In fact, they made it worse, though not for the reasons that are often cited. It lies within the very nature of the games themselves, as pokemon are nothing more than objects. This argument is addressed in the games, but then, they throw it straight back at you by essentially saying that YOU DO THE SAME THING. And they're right! The matter is left unresolved because if they did argue it, then their cash cow no longer exists.

The logic that is attempted with this humor is one of the creator assuming that the Pokemon is a specific, singular character, (i.e. more like a person finding leaked nudes of themselves).

In practice though, this just shows they know jack shit about Pokemon and probably don't participate in Pokemon related media such as the games or anime/manga.
