This is the story of my first shiny ever.

>I was 12 years old
>HGSS just came out
>start up game
>knew I was gonan pick totodile, I always picked the water types
>go to pick it
>hold up, chikorita has a gold leaf
>didn't know about shinies back then
>luckily, I thought it looked better than the original and I picked it

>really great nature, he was brave
>beat the entire elite four with him, even though he wasn't good against most of them
>first Pokémon I ever got to level 100
>one year passes
>ask mom where SS cartridge is, I wanna transfer my Pokémon up to white
>she says it got put through the wash by accident
>cry for almost an hour
>try to load up the game
>by some fucking miracle, it loads
>don't take any chances, immediately transfer my meganium and my Lugia
>that soulsilver cartridge never loaded again after that

I've already transferred him up to sun and moon. Pic related.

On 2 separate occasions on my Emerald save I've looked away from the screen for one moment and encountered shinies. First was Illumise, I noticed it was yellow and caught it to be sure.

The other was Xatu in Safari Zone, my first thought was how badly I was about to be cucked. I threw like 20 pokeblocks or something and did manage to catch it.

Oh and when I replayed Y recently I had a vision of myself fishing a shiny Goldeen when looking for Corphish to add to my team and sure enough one appeared. Did scratch my head a bit at that.

i've been extremely lucky with shinies - i've found/caught an all-natural 1-in-8192 shiny in every main game since gold. my first shiny was uneventful though

I kind of don't want to evolve it, it's the first fully random shiny I've ever got. Do note that SOS chaining only increases shiny odds over a chain of at least 70, so it was not factored into the Haka. Should I succumb to Kommunism and evolve my Haka?

I literally found 5 shinies in a single game, and I had never found a shiny before other than the scripted ones and some random Dodrio I don't have any memories of obtaining. It was fucking wild. I've found more since (2 Ralts and a Fomantis), but they don't have interesting stories.

I've lost them all now, though, because Bank decided to delete all of my Pokémon.

Just SOS chain one in SM, it's one of the absolute easiest to chain due to having the highest possible callrate in the game. And that trainer's exeggute is always shiny.

Anyway, I don't have an interesting story--ran into a few shinies, too--but I do have one where I have ran into 2 shinies within the span of 10 minutes.
