Johto Journeys Gotta Catch Ya Later. The original anime was how I got into pokemon in the first place. Seeing all of them part ways was one of the saddest and most well done endings in the pokemon anime.

I actually agree with anon here, even if this may have been bait. At least BW was shorter and it changed its setting a few times so even if it was awful, it didn't get as stale. AG was just so full of boring fucking filler.

It's not bait. At least BW had some fun moments to it. AG was just boring all around. Max being more annoying than Iris and AG being a season longer could also be benefactors. Most people who say that AG is better than BW probably haven't even watched AG in the last decade.

AG is the anime generation I most often forget happened. Every other one has something about it that makes them memorable: OS was the iconic original, DP had the best coordinator and a great rival, BW is honestly memorably bad, XY had Ash at the top of his game, and SM has ditched the regular formula for the anime (badges) entirely.

AG is just... there. Nothing really offensively bad, but nothing remarkably good either. It's forgettable.

The Kanto/Battle Frontier section of it was the most enjoyable I ever found the Pokemon anime, brisker pacing, fun filler, things actually being accomplished. Also all of AG's OP's are GOAT.

Don't remember shit about the Hoenn/League part of it other than May's focus stuff and all the contests which were good but that probably goes to show the quality of everything else about the Hoenn section with Ash's side and the filler.
