How do I git gud at the tree without using outright broken shit?
I want to be able to be creative and form my team to beat it, without copy/pasting someone else's. I've bred a full doubles team but I can't get past 30s.
Any tips/guides?

The tree's teams will slowly morph to be whatever is best suited to defeating your team. You will ultimately need to use top end things or a cheese gimmick if you expect to get anywhere significant in the Battle Tree. Stall works to a point, but I find using a Physical Bruiser, a Special Bruiser, and a Mixed Tank (like Celesteela or Blissey) is the best way about it, just make sure you have an answer to all type combos.
