It's my headcanon that the ashnime, manga, and games all take place in different alternate universes. Are greninja came to the game universe through a hyper wormhole.

Every single piece of Pokemon media is canon, they're all just different universes in the multiverse, just like every single playthrough of every single version of mainline is canon.

Currently the evidence is against you. Ash-Greninja and Ash-Pikachu present strong arguments for the anime residing in the same canon as the games, as does Pokemon Yellow and the canon status of name-cries. Unless you can provide evidence against this we have to consider your claim moot.

Yellow doesn't line up with the anime. Red's canon team (as in, when Red appears in later games) is comprised of freebie Pokemon you get from playing Yellow. And Red isn't ash.

The fact that the games has a counterpart to Ash from the anime doesn't mean that the anime itself is canon. It just means that the games has their own Ash. One we haven't met.
