Recently I noticed I have very little memory of Gen5 at all. Same thing happened with gen4 last year, so i replayed Platinum. It became my favorite pokemon game. I know how much /vp/ loves Platinum and B2W2, and I still have both Black and Black2. Is Black worth playing, or should I skip it and just play Black2? would I be missing out on anything?

Definitely play both, they're actually rather different and you should see for yourself how you feel about each one.

You can if you want. I was barely able to stand it personally, but if you like Gen 5's designs you should be fine. Some like Musharna, Seismitoad, Cryogonal or Stunfisk can't be obtained maingame in B2W2.

BW2 is better in every way. Play the first if you'd like to get a firmer grasp on the first part of the story, but even then its easy to fill in the blanks by sticking to BW2.

Black gives you a more authentic Unova feel. Black2 expands on that and adds in pokemon from previous gens for you to enjoy. The downside is that it doesn't feel as unique. Definatly play both. I personally love all the games you listed and I think you'll enjoy them too

If you play first BW you will enjoy BW2 a LOT more.

Thanks for the tips. I tend to enjoy the stories in pokemon games, so i think I'll play Black first.
I like to get creative with my playthroughs. I remember using Snivy in B and Oshawott in B2. I've never been a fan of the tepig line sadly. I think these times around I'll box my starters and use pokemon I've never used before.
I actually like Stunfisk, so i may use it on my team for Black if i can find one

I'd recommend giving Emboar a chance it's actually kind of fun to use in BW, and I mean you seem to haven't tried it yet. Stunfisk comes late but shouldn't be too hard to find.

Stunfisk is almost impossible not to come across unless you're playing in Winter, though it does come very late into the game.
Hope you have fun and can enjoy both 1 and 2

you're on a board for a children's game

>BW2 is better in every way
>the games in which the devs caved in to whiny nostalgiafags
It's what kicked off this cancer the series has today. It started in BW2 and continued full-force in Gens VI and VII.

>oh no they had old Pokemon in this game they must have been catering to nostagiafags
Fuck off, B2W2 had the perfect balance of old and new and the oldmons didn't feel skewed towards any gen. That's nowhere near DUDE KANTO LMAO

Nice denial there, BW2 babby.
