The development time. Not going to say GF should stop shitting out a game every year or so, but they need to go back to making third versions. BW2 was such a huge improvement in literally every way, simply because they got a lot of time to polish them.

I love replaying it, but hate getting to the Join Avenue and other online activities. Reminds me of how even great things are pushed aside for the future.

I wish somehow they could attatch, at least the Pokemon DS games to an online system of its own.

Why do people like BW?
I mean the dex is just a copy from Gen1.

This is the game that I forget about the most. But for whatever reason I was very invested in the Pokestar Studios side quest and the fact that some movies were locked to postgame is what made me finish the league after getting so sidetracked.

Its better in its own way while not quite teaching BWs highs. Like, its a better evolution of the age old Pokemon story, as BW was basically the same old thing but just because it forced a fuckton of text on you every city and had the champion after the credits it gets higher praise, yet Unova itself had some great setpieces and lore that dulled in intereet the second time around. So yeah BW is great for the lore and characters but the plot is absolute shit tbqh with all that exposition, meanwhile B2W2 isn't as memorable since we are familiar with Unova, but its execution and the way it shakes things up for a Pokemon game is miles ahead of BW. Like I said BW just had
Champion after the credits
A much more linear region(which is not a pro)
Where as B2W2 had
Starting City with no Laboratory, which is post game
Still linear, but the game definitely is more of a chunk by chunk sort of linear then BWs City and POI to City and POI style of linear. Less exposition more show and tell much later.

There is a lot more, but due to it be8ng a sequel, its unfair to judge both on that alone, as its obvious a sequel would have more ground to work with, yet BW could have in all fairness been made with that same flair and perhaps B2W2 could have gone even further, but who knows. Sorry for the rant, but yeah B2W2 is much better, despite being less focused, and as a bonus its actually the one pair of games besides GS in the series that feels closest to a Dragon Quest game. Each town has its story that doesn't force team plasma on you unlike BW, and the journey is more important then the conclusion.


Would just like to say, best final route and victory road combo in the entire series. Those fucking waterfalls and that fucking strength puzzle area, omg. Gamefreak gonna need some miracles to top that shit.

I mean you've got the three-stage fighting, ground and psychic pokémon. Two fighting types that share looks but different styles. Both versions have psychic elephantine pokémon. And this might be weak but the elemental monkeys in place of Eevee.

And those are just off the top of my head. There are a lot of comparisons to be made between the two regions.

HGSS when it comes to postgame was the Pokeathlon and frontier, Kanto is more like the 2nd part, its like 1.5 games when considering region size for the two. B2W2 meanwhile had the sizeable chunk of story, the medals being an ingame quest instead of stupiy being a PGL feature that is wasted potential, join avenue when it was active, the PWT, Black tower and White treehouse, and Pokestar Studios which used the turn based system for some really cool puzzle moments. I have to fire that shit up again.
