Can you consider Dedede a villain?
I mean his only act of villainy was stealing food, other than that he's either been possessed, acted against the main villain or worked with Kirby.

Not after that first act of stealing food.
I mean, Adventure was about him preventing Nightmare invading the dreams of Popstar and he actively helps Kirby in later games.

If anything he's more of an anti-hero on the same lines as Shadow the Hedgehog.
