I think both of these are an issue of time. With 721 days of threads in a row, we had more time to familiarize with other anons, and MSP Guy had more opportunities/reasons to do silly things, but I don't think any new Pokemon have strong enough reputations to warrant panic or buildup or anything of that sort. I thought Decidueye would get some kind of buildup, but it didn't. Only 4 months compared to 2 years doesn't leave much room for shenanigans.

Vote-in Pokemon obviously can't be accounted for on a checklist because we never know what they're going to be until they arrive.

I've said it before in another thread, but if I could guarantee a free hour or two at the exact same time every day, I'd probably do it.

But then again, MSP Guy was really protective of his job and never let anybody else cover for him even if he thought he might not be able to make it. In theory, a group of two to four people could easily share the burden. Hell, maybe even a different OP for every day of the week.

This is all just conjecture, though. We'd really need to get out of the pussyfooting "maybe" stages and really commit to a plan on discord or skype or even a goddamn IRC if enough people really want to keep these threads going.
