In classic astrology, the planet Venus, is associated with the Element of Earth.

I think in this context they are drawing it from. As Venusaur is a very plant/earth element dinosaur

Get Out (2017)

Venus is associated with roses

Would you prefer Venusaur with a Venus Flytrap instead of a flower?
Would Venusaur be more popular overall?
>>
>not one reply that its ENGLISH name has fucking nothing to do with its design

Fushigibana is just a pun roughly translated as "strange flower"

Turns out the plant on its back is actually a parasitic being similar to the mushrooms on parasect. Eventually we'll get a dead-eyed Venasaur that is being consumed by the vines and tendrils of the back-plant.

>he doesn't know how to spell Centaur

... the fuck kind of fanfic have you been reading?
the plant on the bulbasaur line is in a symbiotic relationship with bulbasaur. the plant gives bulbasaur energy and protection while the bulbasaur transports it to water sources and sunlight.
>>
>>32208208
>symbiotic relationship

You realise thats a parasite right? Thats two seperate organisms. At some point Bulbasaurs had no back plant.

It starts as a symbiote, basically the host Bulbasaur dies unless it obeys the will of the plant. The plant searches for water and light and grows, giving energy to the Bulbasaur so that the Bulbasaur will become strong enough to mate in later evolutionary stages.

By the time its become Venasaur the plant has flowered. The seeds of the plant have infected the Venasaur and any newborn Bulbasaurs will also have the back plant.

In the final act the Venasaur dies when the back plant discovers its ideal location after reproducing - and the back plant feeds off the remains until its rooted in the soil.
