Hello, /vp/, I don't think you remember me, but I've already posted some threads about lego creations, including mine, and you've always been helpful with criticism, so here is my latest creation, from one of my favourite Pokemon of 7G.

Eyes could use some more "angry" detail but I know it's hard to pull off with simple bricks.

The model isn't finished, obviously missing the wings, and also, two important pieces are here in the wrong color for the time being, the first one being tje transparent blue shield on the downside, between the forelegs.

Looks cool.

What other gen 7 pokemon have you done

more like 0 in this state, but yeah. At least it has some bulk to it.

>>32206276
Yes, I've tried many variants of the head portion, and it took me seven to eight hours to get this result. The eyes is the part i'm the least happy with.

Also, the second important piece is the mouth slope, which will be orange, obviously. The transparent blue part on the belly is not yet available in dark blue and will be released in a model in june.

For the time being, this is the first one. I would really like to do a Decidueye but the design doesn't lend itself well to lego bricks, I feel.

The model is articulated as well as I could, so all the legs have two balljoints each, the horns are on balljoints and the elytra are also on balljoints as seen here

And here is the most important view for me since it's supposed to be an insect, so most of the time I worked on the model, it was from this view.

At last, here is a size comparison with the rest of the Pokemon I've made in this scale. Swampert may be a bit too small compared to Marowak and Vikavolt, though. Still, pretty happy about how this looks.

How posable is this thing? Looks like it's wings close down.

This is the coolest kind of autism.

the horns are limited but yes, you can close the elytra, it's not perfect but it does look good from this angle at least.

>>32206442
That sounds pretty good to me, thanks !
>>
>>32206550
Yeah, you're welcome. This sort of thing makes me want to get back into making Lego MOCs.
>>
>>32206567
Do you have any pictures of your mocs ? I'd love to see some.
>>
>>32206278
I wonder if there's enough room in the body to fit some kind of lighting element. Having its spots light up would be neato.
>>
>>32206638
I haven't built anything in years and I've lost all of my old photos. I didn't have a massive amount of pieces, so I would often build something then recycle it. This thread is making me want to get back into Lego.

>that Bionicle mask on Marowak

kek

I remember years ago during gen 3 I did a Lego Sceptile. It wasn't nearly as good as these, but on the other hand most of these parts didn't even exist back then...
>>
>>32206730
That would be pretty damn awesome. I doubt you could easily fit small leds but yeah I would really like to get a glow effect on the eyes and yellow parts of the abdomen.

>>32206741
Why not try downloading LEGO Digital Designer ? It wouldn't cost anything, and you could MOC with most of the pieces available, even though it takes some time to get used to.
>>
>>32206777
Oh I would love to see that sceptile, since I thought about doing it too, but I prefer to concentrate on other pokemon with different potential build like Volcarona or Togekiss.

Also, for the anecdote, the bionicle mask is the most expensive part of the whole picture, and cost me more or less 15€ itself since it's a misprint part which is pretty rare now. As a matter of fact, Marowak cost me more than any of the other at nearly 100€ for all the pièces.
>>
>>32206793
It was far more satisfying doing it in real life, but that is an idea.

Unfortunately, that old Sceptile has long since donated his rare green bricks to various spaceships and more recently a Bionicle MOC. I do recall his Leaf Blades were done with those 1x1 cylinders with leaves sticking out, and his tail was some palm fronds from Pirates. Oh, and he had a transparent green windscreen from a Space Police II set on the top of his head to make Grovyle's head leaf because I thought ponytails were totally rad. It was a fun build to do, even if it was rankly amateur.
>>
>>32206825
>volcarona and togekiss
yes please
those are some of my favorites
also great job on the others, Flygon and Marowak are the best of the set imo
>>
>>32206871
I could see the leaf piece used as the leaf blades on its forearms, yeah. at first I thought about the palm trees but I think I'll most likely use the same piece you can see in orange on Swampert whiskers since they exist in green.
>>
These are awesome.
You're awesome.
Good job, OP.
>>
>>32206977
Thanks; I'm pretty happy with my marowak too. I think Flygon will need some work, though.

>>32206998
Thanks !

Yeah looking at your Swampert I was thinking those sword things would make for a much better tail if you could get enough of them. With all the fancy parts out there these days one might even be able to articulate it.
>>
>>32206433
Woah these look great. How was the middle tail tip section on Flygon done? Also curious of the bone tip/knob on Marowak - two white helmets interlocked?

Made a Lego Lapras years back but it's substantially more blocky/bulky than what you have here.
