Moon has Celesteela and Pheromosa (and Lunala outside UB legends)
Sun has Kartana and Buzzwole (plus Solgaleo)

Celesteela is versatile and useful in singles and doubles as a great Pokemon in general. Pheromosa is great in singles and ok in doubles.
Kartana is crap in singles but good in doubles.
Buzzwole is... well it's not absolute trash but it's not comparable to Pheromosa in usability.
In special battles Lunala is just better than Solgaleo.

Overall Celesteela is the real prize so get Moon for her. Pheromosa is also a great bonus. Kartana is nice to have if you do some real life VGC tournaments but Celesteela is usually more useful to have available to use. Buzzwole looks cool.

Solgaleo is a B- in Ubers (which is also good for the cart battles as it is only in special battles)
Lunala on the other hand is an A-, part of that coming from the amazing ability of Shadow (multiscale clone) compared to Solgaleo's crappy clear body clone. Ghost is also great offensively and Solgaleo is easily replaceable.

So yes, Lunala>Solgaleo.

I don't often play Ubers but I played it for a bit when SM first came out to try Lunala and that thing can take hits like nobody's fucking business. I went with a CM/Roost set with a physically defensive EV spread and even with 248/0 defenses on the special side it not only managed to set up on a motherfucking GeoXern, it also managed to take a Phantom Force to the face from E-Killer Arceus. Once Lunala gets going there is nothing that can stop it.
