Nintendo online is P2P. The service won't improve with the addition of paid subscribtion because it still doesn't use dedicated servers (unlike, say, MMO games) and it still depends on both parties having a good connection.

I own all of them and can play them at any given time, considering they're on a handheld console I can bring anywhere. There's no point in having those on Switch.
