Do you prefer to gather them one at a time, or do you fill up a box or two full of eggs and hatch all of those in bursts?

I usually gather them one at a time, but sometimes I hatch eggs while in the autism box collecting eggs so I have them genned for the next batch.
I forgo the rodeo box
>collect 5 eggs
>stoutland in a circle beside the nursery to the left
>collect 5 more eggs while hatching the current batch for the pc
>hatch eggs
>get rid of the duds and collect the 5 eggs in the PC
>repeat
PC egg depositing is so nice
Egg swapping makes gathering tons of them a huge waste. Only worth it if you are an ultra casual shiny hunter and use the pelago exploit.

I just leave the extras I gather in the spa overnight while I sleep. 18 free hatches a day isn't bad.
I cervix fuck that ho until she starts screaming in pain

It really depends on what I do while hatching. Usually I just keep gathering them, to the point I have more eggs than hatched mons. Might as well roll the dice as many times as I can while I'm able to.
While I'm shitposting I stoutland in the autism box, while hatching the huge buffer of eggs I've built up.
When I leave my console, I put some eggs in pelago, to at least lower their hatch time when I next pick it up.
To me the important part isn't the hatching as it's the advancement of the RNG number, hatching can happen anytime anyway, be it through active means or passive means like pelago or simply always carrying some eggs. I don't usually start a new breeding project inmediately, which leaves enough time to hatch the remaining eggs.
Back in gen6 I used to check my unhatched eggs through PHBank. I don't anymore, but I believe it might be a leftover from that habit.
