XY has had a good start, but it got worse with the missing of Z, because there are so many open ends in this game and a small story after the main game.

Worst is Red/Blue, least favorite is Sun/Moon

All of them are bad by objective means in one way or another however

I dont mean to hate on DP because Platinum is my top 3 best Pokemon games in general but it really was pretty weak. It only shows how much third versions are needed

Pffft, XY at least had the vastly improved breeding/training system that made getting into competitive a breeze. Also Megas, fairies and trainer customisation.

BW was just godawful in every way
>no new fun gameplay mechanics
>shit linear region
>shit Pokemon designs
>dumb bottom screen use
>shit side features (musicals and dream world)
>exploration cut down in favour of (badly written) plot
>handholding everywhere
Granted the last two also apply to XY but as I said it had some other things going for it that made them bearable.

Has anyone who says this ever heard of the phrase, "Don't fix it if it ain't broke?" Adding stuff just to add it is how you get gimmicky crap like Z-moves. And you can say the same about Fairy-type and Megas depending on your opinion.

Except BW not only didn't fix what needed improvement over DP, it added new problems on its own

And that's on top of not adding anything memorable (lolTriples) except for 150 or so Kanto knock-offs half of the fanbase hates with a burning passion. Metagame-wise it was basically gen 4-bis except worse in every way.

And I already admitted Kalos also suffered from the handholding and railroading problem.

Playing SM makes me feel completely numb inside. It's just so hard to stay engaged with them,

Is this bait? Are you seriously calling the Gen. 5 Bug-types bad? And that's without going into the other good Pokemon introduced like Mienshao, Golurk, Chandelure, and many others.

I bet you just took one quick glance at the Pokedex and once you saw Garbodor, you automatically assumed all the other Pokemon were just as terrible.
