Sceptile is horrible, awful, among the worst starters in history. Only Chesnaught is worse in the grass dept.

The other 2 are great.

I agree with this. Meganium as a dinosaur, Typhlosion as a wolverine, and Feraligatr as a croc were a terrific set.

After that, Gen 1, Gen 3, and Gen 6 tied with each 2 good designs. Gen 4 is a set of alright designs. Gen 5 and Gen 7 are pretty shit overall.

Gen 2 starters are the worst, most boring ones desu. Nothing even vaguely interesting in their designs.

Personally I think sceptile is the worst of the 3, but he's still a great design. I can never decide between blaziken and swampert for best of the 3 though.

Boring is a double-edged descriptor, because when you say something like that it may very well suggest your taste leans toward over-detailed and tacked-on appearances.
