Battling is easily the best part of pokemon. If anything they need to add more battle facilities and battle modes while cutting out all the other random shit

It's actually what I see as a complaint fairly often.
Basically many of the complaints I see outside of /vp/ is that the only thing to do after the game is battle, rather than content like Join Avenue or some of HGSS's activities.

I personally don't care about battle facilities or the HGSS style stuff, but I do enjoy collecting and I would love a return for GTS negotiations.

I loved the Pokéathlon but it's honestly pointless outside acquiring items

Put in move tutors in first versions instead of waiting for the previous gen remakes
More sidequests
Waifus
Rematches
Stupid minigames

Difficulty modes (adjustable on the fly so you don't have to wipe your save because you want to try Hard Mode)
