Say something nice about Blastoise.

He looks nice without the cannons.
that's a pokeball son
One of my favorite water types tbqh

Wait, so are the cannons retractable?
>>32181325
Yes. They used to be, at least. Haven't seen it happen in a while.

He's far better than Charizard
My favorite Pokémon
Coolest, least controversial Kanto starter.

I'll have to admit, even though Blastoise is my least preferred Water starter(don't dislike it though, I just find the other ones more interesting. Although Primarina would dethrone it if it wasn't a Fairy type), the anime does a excellent job at making it look badass. Seems that Gen 1 tried their best at making the starters marketable as possible compared to later gens.

What is a Pikachu, Alex?
>>32181525
Wasn't really counting Pikachu, but Pikachu definitely isn't as cool as Blastoise. He's a bro though.
Keep saying nice thing about Blastoise please.

It's funny how Blastoise's cannons in the Stadium and Gamecube games are considered features that only appear during attack animations, like Typhlosion's fire or M-Sharpedo spikes. Seems like the older artwork had this kind of mentality too.

It was better that way, too.
